CMO.grexel is a central registration database for European Energy Certificate System (EECS)® certificates.
The types of certificates currently supported include:
o Guarantees of origin as meant by directives 2009/28/EC, 2001/77/EC and 2004/8/EC (cogeneration)
o Independent Criteria Scheme (ICS) certificates, such as RECS
CMO.grexel is the national registry for the following domains and EECS Issuing Bodies:
o Denmark – Energinet.dk
o Finland – Grexel Systems ltd.
o Germany - Öko-Institut e.V.
o Iceland - Landsnet
o Luxembourg – Institut Luxembourgeois de Régulation
o Sweden – Grexel Systems ltd.
CMO.grexel is open to anybody who wishes to open an EECS account in the respective domains, regardless of the nationality or registration state.
All Issuing Bodies using CMO.grexel are bound by national VAT and anti-money laundering regulations and co-operate with authorities at domestic and international level to avoid fraud.
